How do I care for an angora or cashmere knit?

An angora knit hand-washes in cold water with a gentle detergent, or can be dry-cleaned. Cashmere also tolerates a wool machine cycle if the label allows. In both cases: dry flat, never in a tumble dryer or on a hanger, and store folded in a breathable bag to preserve the softness of the fibre over the long term.
